I picked up this Magnetic Wallet and it does exactly what I hoped. It snaps onto the back of my phone and holds my cards securely, so I can leave my bulky wallet at home for quick errands. The magnet feels strong and it hasn't slipped off in my pocket. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that it can get a little crowded if you carry more than a few cards. Note that quantities are limited and while supplies last, so if you're thinking about it, don't wait too long.
